First Monitoring Plot Installed with EMS Brno Team
On March 19, we successfully established the first forest monitoring plot as part of our research project on forest growth dynamics under changing climatic and environmental conditions. The installation was carried out in collaboration with instructors from EMS Brno, who provided technical support and expertise in configuring the measurement equipment.
The selected site was equipped with a set of sensors and data loggers designed to continuously monitor key environmental parameters such as air temperature, soil moisture, and solar radiation. The process included careful positioning of devices, calibration of instruments, and testing of data transmission systems to ensure the reliability of real-time monitoring.
This milestone marks the beginning of our fieldwork phase. The data collected from this and future sites will form the foundation for our analysis of forest responses to changing conditions. We would like to thank the EMS Brno team for their valuable assistance and look forward to further field installations in the coming weeks.
